The journal

About Material Rumor

Material Rumor is a fictional independent journal. It follows culture while the name is still wet: inside studios, rehearsal rooms, workshops, temporary venues, streets, and the shared spaces people invent between official hours.

The beat is art, design, photography, sound, craft, public space, and the ways a public learns itself. The tone is curious, a little unruly, and unwilling to wait for a museum wall to make something count.

This issue—The Shape of Gathering—is a concept publication prepared by Unredacted Version. No real masthead, circulation, prize, or sponsor is claimed. Story titles and editorial writing are invented. Photographs belong to their photographers.

We are interested in the hour before the poster has a date on it.
